To the School Program Director:
Music Lessons on Wheels has been in business for six years. It is run by a coalition of talented musicans and instructors who are dedicated to sharing the magic of music with children of all ages. Children benefit in many ways from learning to play a musical instrument; in fact, researchers have found that students who take piano lessons show improvements in mental ability, as reflected in math and science performance and test scores.
Our program is unique; it's self-contained and costs your school or center nothing to start or administrate. It works in public schools, private schools (some details vary between for-profit and non-profit schools - contact us for details) as well as children's clubs, after-school programs and tutoring centers.
Parents love it because their child can get piano lessons for a significantly lower cost than they would otherwise pay - and without all the normal demands of private lessons (cost, travel, waiting time while the lesson is in progress, etc.)
Kids love it because it's fun! They learn from it all: from reading music, to playing by ear, to composing and performing.
Schools love it because they can offer an additional service to parents without having to do anything other than share a little space and a short amount of their students' time with us.
In most schools and centers, there will be enough interest to start up an established "piano lessons day" on an ongoing basis. We usually begin regular lessons the week after the first children register. All registration, fees and invoicing is handled through our instructors or via this website, without consuming your valuable time or attention.
